Earlier, as President of AEG Network Live, Rubey delivered global coverage/distribution of Michael Jackson Memorial broadcast, which became the most watched live television broadcast in history with nearly 3 billion viewers worldwide. His broadcast’s marketing and promotion contributed to $2.1B in box office revenue, selling 22 million tickets, and incremental program licensing fees of $19.7M. Rubey was responsible for the overall vision, entertainment marketing, digital content development and execution for live music events, festivals and other events to U.S. and worldwide TV networks, Youtube, VEVO, Hulu, Yahoo! and others.
