Debbie Vandermeulen

Debbie has 24 years of experience successfully working with filmmakers assisting them in turning their story ideas into cinematic entertainment that has proven to be profitable and earn recognition at renowned entertainment festivals including Cannes, Sundance and Toronto.

Founder of Fusion Features, Debbie has facilitated many aspects of
film production and directly participates in all main producing phases, including development and financing to post-productions, marketing and distribution.  

She is known for creating and utilizing Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) in the UK to aid film projects in generating development and production funds that will provide tax advantages for the investors.

Debbie has producer credits for 10 features,   The most recent feature film Crystal Swan winning the Grand Prize for Works In Progress at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival last November and Premiering on Opening Night of East Meets West at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Then, Brahman Naman in Competition at the  Sundance Film Festival in 2016 was sold to NETFLIX.  In 2015 Debbie completed Guys Reading Poems starring Patricia Velasquez (The Mummy), Life Tracker starring Rebecca Marshall (SAW 3D) and Matt Dallas (Kyle XY), sold to Gravitas Ventures.  Terror Films is distributing Debbie’s finished film in 2014, My Eleventh working with Executive Producer Bryan Singer and starring John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C) and Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men) and the documentary,
“We’ll Always Have Dingle.”

Currently, Debbie is in post on Hipsters Gangsters Aliens & Geeks starring Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy), Verne Troyer (Austin Powers), Nic Novicki (Boardwalk Empire) and French Stewart (Third Rock from the Sun) directed by Richard Elfman and featuring music by Danny Elfman.

Debbie’s next film going into production is Faunutland a Swedish & Polish Co-Production.  This is a fantasy fairytale film with Composer Joe Kraemer of Mission Impossible and Jack Reacher firmly attached.

Debbie has also chaired, judged and participated in many prominent
film festivals around the world.
